Description of Practice:

Saputo Counseling Services LLC is a solo private practice serving adult clients ages 18 and up. The practice specializes in Sex Therapy and welcomes individuals, couples, or other multi-partner systems of all genders. Clients from all cultural backgrounds and sexual orientations are welcome. Counseling services for wellness, anxiety, depression, trauma, and sexual health are provided. Clients meet in the office or via telehealth. Supervision for LLPCs working toward full licensure is offered at this practice.

Education and Experience:

MA in Counseling, Oakland University, April 2012 Certificate Complementary Medicine and Wellness, Oakland University, April 2012 Certified Sex Therapist, AASECT, May 2018 - present Clinical Supervision Training, 30 hours, Advanced Counselor Training, LLC, April 2019 National Certified Counselor, NBCC, May 2012 – present Ongoing, annual training is required to maintain status as National Certified Counselor and Certified Sex Therapist. As such a variety of training is completed each year covering a variety of counseling and sexual health topics that are relevant to clients and the profession including ethics, implicit bias, telehealth standards, theory, research, and treatment approaches.

Fees:

Insurance and private pay are accepted at this practice. I am in network with several insurances and per contractual agreements with these companies I am obligated to charge clients their copays, coinsurance, and deductibles while honoring the insurance fee schedules. Client may elect to pay out-of-network or private pay rates. Private pay rates range from $165 to $200 per 55-minute appointment (intake and ongoing sessions). I participate in Open Path Collective which offers a low fee option for therapy to those with a financial hardship. Open Path clients are charged $50 per 55-minute session and their ability to pay is evaluated every 90 days.

Filing a Complaint:

The State of Michigan requires counselors to adhere to a specific Code of Conduct that is determined by the Board of Counseling. It is recommended that a client attempt to resolve a complaint with the practice first. However, clients have a right to file a complaint and should use the contact information below, if necessary.
