Counseling Fees
Individual Initial Appointment:  $145
Individual Session (55 minutes):  $125
Individual Session (45 minutes):  $110

Payment is due at the time of service, including insurance co-pays and deductibles. Payments of cash, debit card, and most major credit cards and HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

My private pay rates are competitive to the area served and the services provided. Rates take into consideration my graduate education, specialized training and credentials, years of experience, insurance reimbursement rates, and other time and expenses I've invested in order to support my clients in their therapeutic goals.
Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified me at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the late cancelaton/no show fee unless you schedule and attend a session within the next 2 business days. I am firm with this policy. This policy ensures we are both invested in your wellbeing and the block of time we set aside to meet. If something prohibits you from consistently attending scheduled appointments, this is probably not the time to start counseling.

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. It is your responsibility to pay for services if your insurance plan rejects a claim.

Please check your insurance coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have outpatient mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the co-pay amount per therapy session?
Is preauthorization/referral required from my primary care physician?

Do you reimburse for out of network providers?

Please  contact me for further information.
Couple Initial Appointment:  $160
Couple Session (55 minutes):  $140
I offer secure video sessions and telephonic sessions. Ask me for details. Some insurance plans will cover.

I have a limited number of appointment times available via my participation in Open Path. Please contact me to discuss this option and find out more here :
I am in-network with many plans:
Blue Care Network
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Care Worklife Solutions EAP (Workplace Options/Network Advantage EAP)
Ceridian Lifeworks EAP
Humana Behavioral Health
Humana ChoiceCare Network
Humana Military (Tricare East)
Magellan Healthcare and EAP
McLaren Health Plan
Optum/United Behavioral Health (United Healthcare)

Ask me if you don't see your plan listed.

Sex Therapy and Couples/Relationship Counseling are often not covered by insurance.

Many insurance carriers reimburse for Out of Network benefits. I can provide a detailed receipt that you can submit to carrier for possible reimbursement.

Should I Private Pay?

Here are good reasons to pay privately for therapy:
     - You have no diagnosable issue, so your therapy is not covered by insurance.

     - You choose the therapist best suited to your needs rather than the insurance company telling you who to see.
     - You have flexibility in the type of therapy, who to include in the therapy session and the length of services.
     - You will have complete confidentiality. Your records will not be shared with anyone without your permission. In fact, no one else will know you are even in therapy unless you tell them!
     - You will be able to stay with your therapist even if your      insurance plan coverage changes.
