An Emotional and Sexual Wellness Reset and Roadmap
Since 2016, I’ve been supporting individuals and couples through counseling and sex therapy, helping them strengthen their mental health, intimacy, and sexual wellbeing. Over time, I began to notice a common theme in what women were sharing with me. Many said things like, “I just don’t think about or care about sex,” or “I want to want sex, but it feels like a chore.” For some, sex had become such a source of tension in their relationship that they began avoiding it altogether.
Sometimes the shift began following a major life change or traumatic event. For others, it was tied to hormonal changes, relationship stress, the weight of daily responsibilities, or simply the exhaustion of trying to balance so many roles and distractions.
What they all shared, though, was a sense of disconnection from desire, intimacy, and pleasure, and often, a painful longing to want something that felt out of reach. Some women even confided that they had never felt truly “sexy” or sexual, and wondered why others seemed to experience intimacy and pleasure with ease, while they struggled. Pair this with society's unrealistic portrayals of intimacy and subpar sexual health education, it's no wonder that that these women were expressing such distress. I was inspired to create a transformative experience where women can overcome these barriers and begin to define their authentic sexual selves.
What I found is that traditional weekly therapy absolutely works, and for many women it’s the right path. But when the focus is sex and intimacy, progress can sometimes feel slower than you’d like. Each session often begins with checking in, reviewing the week, and easing into the deeper work. Just as things start to open up, it’s time to stop. Change happens, but it can feel stretched out over months.
That’s why I began offering therapy intensives. These half-day sessions give you the space to focus deeply on what matters to you, without the usual stop-and-start rhythm of weekly appointments. Intensives don’t promise to solve everything in one day, but they do create a jumpstart. In four hours, there’s time to really understand what’s happening, explore the beliefs and patterns shaping your sexual wellbeing, and practice strategies in the moment without feeling rushed. You leave, not just with insight, but with a personalized roadmap (and increased confidence) to guide you forward in your intimate life and in your connection with yourself.
A therapy intensive offers a unique opportunity to address your sexual and intimate wellbeing in a tailored, private space. If any of these circumstances resonate with you, an intensive may be the best investment in yourself, your health and your relationships.
1.
Send me an email to schedule a FREE consultation call to determine if a therapy intensive is the right approach for you. I welcome this chance to answer all of your questions. There's no pressure to commit to any future time with me. But, if you're ready, we'll reserve the time for your intensive, which requires a signed agreement and a 50% payment toward the full fee of $1095.
2.
Once scheduled, you'll be invited to complete intake paperwork including sharing more of your personal history, identifying goals, and taking assessments that will help to guide us during our time together. You'll receive all the logistical details to prepare you for your intensive. Remaining 50% payment will be collected 5 days prior to your reserved intensive.
3.
We'll start the day with a review of your intensive goal and go over assessments and intake paperwork. From there I'll guide you through therapeutic exercises aligned to your specific circumstances. Along the way, I'll be designing a personalized plan that you'll take home with you to reinforce our time together. You'll leave feeling resourced, confident, and supported.
4.
Although you'll receive a personal plan to guide you after the intensive, you may choose to have a follow up mini-intensive (90 minutes) to address anything that comes up after our initital meeting. This time is tailored to your needs and is not included in the fee paid for your initial intensive.
If I were attending an intensive, I'd have lots of questions. Let me know if I've missed something.
The half-day, four hour intensive is a $1095 investment in your health and is not covered by insurance. This cost includes my time to prepare and review pre-intensive assessments, time in the intensive, and time developing a plan for you to take with you following the intensive. It also includes light refreshments and any materials offered during the intensive day.
The intensive is a separate service from ongoing therapy and no diagnosis will be given.
A deposit of half of the payment for the intensive is due the day of scheduling, and the remaining amount must be paid in full five (5) days prior to the intensive.
The deposit is not refundable should the intensive not be attended. No intensive will be held until payment is received. Cancelations less than five days prior to the schedule intensive or no-shows at the day of the intensive will not be reimbursed. A decision to end the intensive early will not be reimbursed. Rescheduled intensives will incur a $250 fee.
Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee the outcome of your intensive. However, I can assure you my time will be spent preparing for your intensive and providing therapy interventions during the intensive tailored to your identified goal.
Payment forms will be discussed at time of booking. A 3.75 % processing fee will be added to any credit card or debit card payments.
Four-hour intensives are not covered by insurance.
Insurance requires a diagnosis. Due to the brief nature of the intensive, a diagnosis is not assigned. An intensive does not meet the criteria for medical necessity. Additionally, the majority of insurance plans will not cover the time allotted for an intensive. One unique aspect of the intensive is that insurance does not dictate the way we work together during this dedicated time.
The women's therapy intensives are not Intensive Outpatient Therapy which is meant to be a structured program of therapy to address a diagnosed mental health or substance use condition and usually occurs over several weeks or days.
That’s completely normal. I welcome you to use whatever words or lingo you'd typically use to talk about sex or whatever other subjects come up during the intensive. If I ever don't understand what you're sharing, I'll check in with you for clarification. It's not uncommon for women to feel awkward, embarrassed or uninformed about sex or related topics, especially if sex has felt stressful, painful, or disappointing. I strive to maintain a safe, non-judgmental space where we move at a pace that feels right for you.
Yes. While you can attend an intensive as a stand alone service, you may also choose to attend an intensive if you already have a therapist, whether or not you are meeting with them to address similar concerns. The difference is that an intensive gives you dedicated, focused time to go deeper into issues that are harder to address in a one-hour session. Due to the brief nature of the intensive, a diagnosis is not assigned. You have the option to have me communicate with your therapist, but only with your written consent.
The therapy modalities I'll incorporate during your intensive will be matched to your specific goals that we'll establish during the consultation and start of the intensive. I'll check in with you throughout the half-day to be sure that my approach is aligned to your needs.
I've completed thousands of hours of training in evidence based mental health counseling and sex therapy models. Some of the therapeutic tools I use regularly are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Parts Work, Strengths and Values Based Therapy, Gottman Method, Pain Reprocessing Therapy, and Mindfulness.
I'll likely laugh, curse, or possibly even cry with you during the appointment. I strive to create an environment of mutual respect and collaboration.
Touching between us is NEVER part of therapy or the intensive. Removing clothing is NEVER part of our interactions.

Many women have experienced negative sexual experiences or traumas that impact their intimate health. I am experienced in helping people to address this aspect of their history. We will approach these topics with care and at a pace that feels safe.
Intensives are not trauma treatment, but they can be a powerful way to start reconnecting with your body and desires in a compassionate, grounded way.
If ongoing trauma-focused therapy feels appropriate, we can discuss referrals or next steps.
Half-day intensives are scheduled for four hours at a date and time of day that we'll decide together. My availability allows for them to happen on Thursdays, Fridays and some weekends. I'll do my best to schedule with you soon after your initial contact with me.
Some people choose to have a follow up mini-intensive (90 minutes) after the initial intensive. We'll determine that together.
Rescheduling your intensive, once scheduled and paid in full, will incur an additional fee.
An intensive is not meant to resolve everything in one day. I can't guarantee any certain outcome of your time with me.
At the start, we'll take the time to identify your specific intensive goal. Throughout our time together, I'll check in to ensure we're focused on your objective.
Noticeable shifts can occur during the intensive. You’ll leave with tools and a customized plan you can continue to use long after the session.
Some women find one session gives them the jumpstart they’re looking for, while others schedule a follow-up mini-intensive (90 minutes), choose to attend another half-day intensive to go further, or transition into regular therapy afterward.
You'll receive a personal plan to guide you after the intensive. This will be developed throughout the four hours we meet and will include strategies you can implement after you go home.
You may choose to have a follow up mini-intensive (90 minutes) to address anything that comes up after your intensive. This cost of this time is not included in the fee paid for your initial intensive.
That's a fair question. While I can't say exactly how you intensive will unfold, a general outline is the following.
I'll start the day with a general overview of what to expect and explain logistics, like scheduled breaks. Then we'll revisit the goal you shared for the intensive and refine it, followed by a review of the assessments and intake paperwork you completed. Guided by all of this, we'll explore obstacles to meeting your goal, I'll likely provide some psychoeducation and resources related to your goal, I'll guide you through exercises relevant to your goals, and I'll be developing your personal plan that you'll take home with you. Throughout our time together, I'll check in to be sure we're still working on what matters to you. This process is collaborative and your input is valued. I'll be mindful to end our time together in a manner that leaves you feeling supported.
You are welcome to bring anything to the intensive that makes you feel comfortable. However, other persons or pets are not allowed.
No. You are a whole person and sexual wellness is a component of your overall health. While the women's intensives are designed to address emotional and sexual wellness they are not exclusive of all other parts of yourself.
I utilize the BioPsychoSocial model in my work which is a framework for understanding health that emphasizes the interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors to ones' wellness.
I'll collaborate with you to design an intensive tailored to your goal.
